Forney Chamber of Commerce Magazine,
"Mustangs Found Again Near Mustang Creek" by Laura Travis 2007

"The display of six bronze Mustangs is a five month work of art designed and created solely by sculptor, Don Hunt, at his studio in San Antonio. The display is placed near the sidewalk to allow close up viewing for visitors." Quoted by Charles Hodges, Architect.

"Six life-size mustangs are featured at the entrance on both sides of Mustang Crossing Shopping Center at the intersection of FM 548 and Highway 80.

"A magnificent stallion is perched above the entrance on one side of the retail center. Another stallion on the other side is challenging. The display entrance features a total of six mustangs."

"Architect Charles Hodges explained the mustangs represent the wildlife that roamed here many years ago." Hodges also explained that nearby Mustang Creek was named after these magnificent animals.

Justin Allen of Oakridge Investments, INC. announced "The mustangs bring to the area a sense of place and history for current and future residents."
